Ingredients
All-purpose flour (heat-treated)
Unsalted butter
Chocolate chunks or chips
Granulated sugar
Light brown sugar
Vanilla extract
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Salt
Whole milk
Instructions

Heat-Treat Flour: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Let cool.

Melt Butter & Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Stir in half the chocolate chunks until smooth.

Add Sugars & Vanilla: Mix in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.

Sift & Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift in cocoa powder, salt, and heat-treated flour. Stir until a thick batter forms.

Add Milk: Slowly add milk until the batter reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.

Fold in Chocolate: Stir in remaining chocolate chunks or mix-ins.

Notes
For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and milk.
