Description

This Creamy Jalapeño Dip is a warm, rich, and cheesy appetizer made with cream cheese, Monterey Jack, green chilies, and jalapeños. With just five minutes of prep, it’s an easy crowd-pleasing dip for parties, game days, and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

16 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

4 ounces chopped green chilies

1/2 cup jarred jalapeños, drained and diced, or 4 ounces diced jalapeño peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded Monterey Jack, chopped green chilies, and diced jalapeños in a large bowl, stand mixer, or food processor.
  3. Mix until thoroughly combined and creamy.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and creamy throughout.
  6. Stir the warm dip well before serving.
  7. Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Substitute sharp cheddar for a stronger cheese flavor or Pepper Jack for additional heat.

Add 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 tablespoon minced garlic for extra savory flavor.

Stir in corn for additional texture and subtle sweetness.

For a milder dip, reduce the jalapeños or remove the seeds and membranes from fresh jalapeños.

The assembled dip can be covered and refrigerated before baking for convenient make-ahead preparation.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week and reheat in the microwave or oven.

Freezing is not recommended because it can affect the creamy texture.
