Description

Chicken Gloria is a creamy, cheesy baked chicken dish layered with sautéed mushrooms and topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. This comforting and flavorful meal is perfect for family dinners, special occasions, or a cozy weeknight treat. Quick and easy to prepare, this gluten-free recipe is customizable to your taste and guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

  • Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

  • Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender and golden, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Assemble the Dish: Place the seasoned chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish. Pour heavy cream over the chicken, then top each with sautéed mushrooms. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.

  • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and golden.

  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Vegetable Add-ins: Add spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or roasted red peppers to the sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.

Substitutes: For a lighter version, use low-fat cream or half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

Different Cheeses: Swap mozzarella and Parmesan for cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère for a different taste.
