Description

This Cheesy Charcuterie Board Casserole combines the best parts of a charcuterie board—savory meats, melty cheese, and fresh vegetables—into one easy, baked dish. It’s a comforting yet impressive meal, perfect for gatherings, cozy dinners, or a unique twist on traditional comfort food.

Ingredients

1 loaf of crusty French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup diced salami

1 cup sliced black olives

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ cup diced red onion

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes with the Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, olives, cherry tomatoes, and red onion. Toss everything together to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and charcuterie mix. Stir gently to ensure all the bread absorbs the liquid. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  5. Add half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese to the bread mixture, stirring to incorporate. Then pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and cheddar evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Vegetarian Version: Skip the meats and add more veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for a meatless option.

Spicy Kick: Add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce for extra heat.

Different Cheeses: Swap mozzarella and cheddar for provolone, gouda, or a blend of your favorite cheeses for a unique twist.
