Description

Vegan Korean Strawberry Milk is a refreshing, vibrant beverage made with fresh strawberries, non-dairy milk, and a hint of sweetness. This easy-to-make, dairy-free treat offers a fun twist on your usual milk-based drinks and is perfect for those following vegan diets. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s a sweet and refreshing drink for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed)

2-3 tbsp sugar (cane or brown sugar)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 ½ cups unsweetened non-dairy milk (almond, soy, oat, or cashew milk)

Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Macerate the Strawberries:
Dice the strawberries, add a tablespoon of sugar, and let them sit for 10 minutes to release their juices.

  2. Make the Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine the remaining strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes until the strawberries break down and become syrupy. Chill the syrup in the refrigerator.

  3. Assemble the Drink:
For each serving, combine 2-3 tablespoons of the syrup, ¾ cup non-dairy milk, a small handful of ice cubes, and a tablespoon of macerated strawberries in a glass. Stir and enjoy!

Notes

Use Frozen Strawberries: If fresh strawberries aren’t available, frozen strawberries work just as well.

Adjust Sweetness: Feel free to add more or less sugar based on your preference for sweetness.

Add More Fruit: For a tropical twist, blend in fruits like bananas or mangoes.
