Truffle Oil Pasta is a luxurious and creamy pasta dish, infused with aromatic truffle oil, perfect for a special occasion or a simple indulgent dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 shallot, minced
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
¼ cup vegetable broth (or other halal-approved liquid substitute)
¼ cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons truffle oil
Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining. Set the pasta aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced shallot, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
- Pour in vegetable broth and cook for 2 minutes. Add heavy cream and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
- Remove from heat and stir in truffle oil. Toss again to evenly coat the pasta.
- Serve the pasta topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For a vegan version, use coconut cream or cashew cream and dairy-free cheese alternatives.
Add protein by including grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms.
Fresh herbs like parsley or basil make a great garnish for extra flavor.
