Description

Truffle Oil Pasta is a luxurious and creamy pasta dish, infused with aromatic truffle oil, perfect for a special occasion or a simple indulgent dinner.


Ingredients

1 lb pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 shallot, minced

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

¼ cup vegetable broth (or other halal-approved liquid substitute)

¼ cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons truffle oil

Parmesan cheese for serving


Instructions

  1. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining. Set the pasta aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced shallot, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in vegetable broth and cook for 2 minutes. Add heavy cream and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in truffle oil. Toss again to evenly coat the pasta.
  6. Serve the pasta topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut cream or cashew cream and dairy-free cheese alternatives.

Add protein by including grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms.

Fresh herbs like parsley or basil make a great garnish for extra flavor.
