Description

A bold, balanced marinade for tri tip featuring savory soy or aminos, tangy vinegar, sweet maple syrup, garlic, Dijon, and optional heat. Perfect for grilling or roasting to achieve juicy, flavorful meat.


Ingredients

⅓ cup avocado oil

⅓ cup liquid aminos or low-sodium soy sauce

¼ cup rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)


Instructions

  1. Whisk together all ingredients in a medium bowl or jar until well combined.
  2. Place tri tip in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over the meat.
  3. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Remove tri tip from marinade and grill, broil, or sear to desired doneness.
  5. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Add more sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.
