The Strawberry Chamoyada is a refreshing Mexican-inspired frozen drink that combines sweet strawberries, tangy lime, spicy chamoy, and zesty Tajín. This colorful treat is perfect for cooling down on hot days.
Ingredients
2 cups frozen strawberries
½ cup water
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons chamoy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
¼ teaspoon Tajín (plus more for garnish)
Tamarind candy straws or sticks (for garnish)
Ice cubes
Extra chamoy and Tajín for lining glass
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, water, lime juice, chamoy sauce, sugar (if using), and ¼ tsp of Tajín. Blend until smooth and slushy.
- Prepare Glasses: Drizzle chamoy along the inside walls of your serving glasses. Sprinkle a bit of Tajín on top for extra flavor and decoration.
- Add Ice and Pour: Fill each glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour the strawberry-chamoy blend into the glasses, topping them with the slushy mixture.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with tamarind candy straws and a final sprinkle of Tajín on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute strawberries with tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, or watermelon for a twist on the flavor.
Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of Tajín and chamoy.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add extra sugar, honey, or agave syrup to the mixture.
