Description

A playful Shirley Temple float made with creamy vanilla ice cream, fizzy lemon-lime soda, and sweet grenadine, finished with festive maraschino cherries for a nostalgic no-fuss dessert drink.

Ingredients

2 scoops vanilla ice cream

1 ounce grenadine syrup

6 ounces lemon-lime soda, chilled

Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a tall glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Scoop two generous portions of vanilla ice cream into the chilled glass.
  3. Slowly drizzle the grenadine syrup over the ice cream to create a swirl.
  4. Tilt the glass slightly and carefully pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda.
  5. Top with one or two maraschino cherries.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw and long spoon.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and fizz.

Use slightly softened ice cream for easier scooping.

Homemade grenadine works well in this recipe.

Dairy-free vanilla ice cream can be substituted if needed.
