Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and mix to distribute evenly.
  • Roll dough into balls and coat each ball with Rice Krispies cereal. Place on a baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • You can use milk chocolate chips for a sweeter taste.
  • For extra texture, add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
  • Try substituting Cornflakes for Rice Krispies for a different crunch.
