Ingredients
1 Granny Smith or other green apple, cored and chopped
1 orange, thinly sliced, then sliced into quarters
1 lemon or lime, thinly sliced
⅓ cup raspberries or sliced strawberries
1 bottle (750 mL) of red juice or non-alcoholic beverage of choice
½ cup orange juice
¼ to ½ cup of your preferred liquor (Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or similar alternative)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruits: Core and chop the Granny Smith apple into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the orange and cut into quarters. Slice the lemon or lime thinly.
- Combine Ingredients in a Pitcher: In a large pitcher, combine the prepared apple, orange, lemon or lime, and ⅓ cup of raspberries or sliced strawberries.
- Add the Liquids: Pour in the entire bottle of your chosen non-alcoholic red juice or beverage. Add ½ cup of orange juice and ¼ to ½ cup of your chosen liquor.
- Mix Together: Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are well combined.
- Chill the Mixture: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. Let it steep for 24 hours for a more robust fruit-infused taste.
- Serve the Sangria: When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled sangria over the ice. Enjoy!
Notes
Experiment with different fruits like pineapple, peaches, or berries for variety.
If you prefer a sweeter sangria, add honey or agave syrup to taste.
Sangria can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, with flavors continuing to develop.
For a non-alcoholic version, skip the liquor and use sparkling fruit soda or fruit juice.
