Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

23 drops pink gel food coloring

½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Cream the butter and sugars: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs and flavor: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and pink food coloring.

  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips if using.

  • Shape the dough: Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  • Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
