Description

Monster burgers are thick, juicy grilled beef patties topped with melted cheddar, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and classic condiments on buttery brioche buns. A hearty, flavorful burger perfect for cookouts or casual dinners.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (20% fat)

4 slices cheddar cheese

4 brioche burger buns

1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded

1 large tomato, sliced

4 tbsp ketchup

4 tbsp mustard

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Shape the ground beef into four 1-inch thick patties, pressing a small indent in the center of each.
  2. Season both sides of the patties generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until browned and reaching 160°F internal temperature.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  5. Toast brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.
  6. Assemble burgers by layering lettuce, tomato, cheesy patty, ketchup, and mustard inside each bun.

Notes

Swap cheddar for Swiss, pepper jack, or blue cheese for variation.

Add bacon, caramelized onions, or avocado for extra indulgence.

Use sriracha mayo or chipotle aioli for a spicy kick.

Patties can also be cooked in a cast-iron skillet or grill pan indoors.

Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 2 months.
