Description
Mini Burger Skewers with Tater Tot Buns are a fun, bite-sized twist on classic sliders. Crispy tater tots serve as buns, filled with juicy beef patties, melted cheese, lettuce, and pickles. Perfect for parties or snacks!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
36 frozen tater tots
6 lettuce leaves, cut into small squares
12 dill pickle slices, halved
Mini skewers or toothpicks
Optional: burger sauce or ketchup for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare the Tater Tots: Preheat the oven and bake the tater tots according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
- Prepare the Beef Patties: In a bowl, season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 mini patties, about 1 inch wide.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side. Add shredded cheese in the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
- Assemble the Skewers: Once the tater tots are ready and the patties cooked, assemble the skewers: thread one tater tot, a folded piece of lettuce, a mini burger patty, a pickle slice, and another tater tot.
- Serve: Serve immediately with optional dipping sauces like burger sauce or ketchup.
Notes
For a spicy version, add jalapeño slices to the skewers for heat.
For a vegetarian option, replace the beef patties with veggie patties or grilled portobello mushrooms.
