Ingredients

  • 6 cups refrigerated citrus punch
  • 5 drops green food coloring
  • 2 cans (12 ounces each) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 quart lime sherbet, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the Base:
In a large punch bowl, combine the citrus punch, thawed limeade concentrate, lime juice, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. Add Color:
Add the green food coloring and mix well to achieve a uniform color.

  3. Incorporate Sherbet:
Gently fold in the softened lime sherbet, allowing it to float on top of the liquid.

  4. Add Soda:
Slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda, stirring gently to combine.

  5. Garnish and Serve:
Float lime slices on top for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Non-Alcoholic Version: This recipe is perfect as a non-alcoholic punch for all ages.
  • Flavor Twist: Add pineapple juice  for extra flavor depth.
  • Make Ahead: You can freeze the punch mixture (excluding the soda) overnight for a slushy texture. Thaw slightly before adding the soda and serving.
