Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz bag Tostitos Scoops tortilla chips
  • 1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled halal-friendly protein (chicken, turkey, or beef)
  • ½ cup diced green onions (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare Cheese Mixture – In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  • Add Optional Ingredients – If using, fold in the crumbled halal-friendly protein and diced green onions into the cheese mixture.
  • Assemble the Bites – Arrange the Tostitos Scoops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spoon a generous amount of the cheese mixture into each chip, filling it completely.
  • Bake – Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the chips are golden brown.
  • Serve – Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture for some heat.
  • Vegetarian Option: Omit the protein and use diced bell peppers or jalapeños for added flavor and texture.
  • Cheese Variations: Try cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend for a different flavor.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble the bites ahead of time, refrigerate, and bake when ready to serve.
