Description
Tender, perfectly heated crab legs made quickly in the Instant Pot and served with a rich Old Bay butter sauce for an easy yet impressive seafood dinner.
Ingredients
4 snow crab leg clusters
1 cup water
1/3 cup unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2–1 tablespoon lemon juice (to taste)
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside.
- Arrange the crab leg clusters on top of the trivet.
- Secure the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on Manual High Pressure for 2 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, carefully quick release the pressure and remove the lid.
- Serve the crab legs immediately with butter sauce or plain melted butter.
- To make the butter sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice to taste.
Notes
Most crab legs are pre-cooked and only need to be reheated.
Frozen crab legs can be cooked directly without thawing.
Increase cook time to 5 minutes for king crab legs.
Use the trivet to ensure the crab legs steam instead of boiling.
