Description

Tender, perfectly heated crab legs made quickly in the Instant Pot and served with a rich Old Bay butter sauce for an easy yet impressive seafood dinner.

Ingredients

4 snow crab leg clusters

1 cup water

1/3 cup unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1/21 tablespoon lemon juice (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside.
  2. Arrange the crab leg clusters on top of the trivet.
  3. Secure the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on Manual High Pressure for 2 minutes.
  4. Once cooking is complete, carefully quick release the pressure and remove the lid.
  5. Serve the crab legs immediately with butter sauce or plain melted butter.
  6. To make the butter sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  7. Remove from heat and whisk in the garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice to taste.

Notes

Most crab legs are pre-cooked and only need to be reheated.

Frozen crab legs can be cooked directly without thawing.

Increase cook time to 5 minutes for king crab legs.

Use the trivet to ensure the crab legs steam instead of boiling.
