Description

Ground Chicken Caprese is a fresh and flavorful dish combining juicy ground chicken, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, all finished with a tangy balsamic drizzle. This quick and healthy Italian-inspired meal is perfect for busy weeknights or elegant dinners alike.


Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

2 cups fresh cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved

1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  • Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil.

  • Cook Chicken: Add ground chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.

  • Add Garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Add Tomatoes: Mix in halved cherry tomatoes and cook for about 5 minutes until they soften.

  • Add Mozzarella: Gently fold in mozzarella balls and let them slightly melt.

  • Add Basil: Stir in torn basil, reserving some for garnish.

  • Finish with Balsamic: Remove from heat and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

  • Serve: Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with remaining basil.
