Garlic Parmesan Wings are a savory and crispy appetizer featuring the rich flavors of garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for game days, family gatherings, or any occasion, these oven-baked wings deliver a crunchy texture and mouthwatering taste without the need for frying.
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Optional: Red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top to allow for airflow.
-
Prep the Wings: In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
-
Arrange on Rack: Place the coated wings in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they don’t overlap.
-
Bake the Wings: Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning the wings halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
-
Make the Sauce: While the wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy twist if desired.
-
Coat the Wings: Once the wings are baked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss gently to coat.
-
Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the wings to a serving platter, garnish with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese, and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicy version.
Herb Infusion: Experiment with adding dried herbs like oregano or thyme to the seasoning mix for extra flavor.
Cheese Alternatives: Try using Asiago or Romano cheese instead of Parmesan for a unique twist.
