Ingredients

  • 2 strip steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 16 oz rigatoni pasta

Instructions

  • Cook the steak: Season the steaks with steak seasoning. Sear them in a hot skillet with olive oil and butter until the desired doneness. Rest and slice.
  • Cook the pasta: Boil rigatoni until al dente, saving some pasta water for later.
  • Make the sauce: Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet, then deglaze with chicken broth. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth. Stir in red pepper flakes, oregano, thyme, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine: Toss the cooked rigatoni into the sauce, adding pasta water if needed. Top with sliced steak and serve.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • If you prefer a different pasta, substitute with fettuccine or penne.
  • For a spicier version, add more red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
  • This recipe can be made dairy-free by using plant-based cream and dairy-free Parmesan
