These spooky and fun Halloween food and snacks, including Mummy Hot Dogs and creative veggie and dip options, are perfect for adding a festive touch to your Halloween party or themed event.

Ingredients

For the Mummy Hot Dogs:

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 hot dogs (or plant-based alternatives)

Mustard or ketchup for decoration

Optional: Candy eyes, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds for garnish

Optional Ingredients for Additional Snacks:

Mini bagels

Cream cheese

Bell peppers (orange, green, and red)

Sliced black olives

Pizza dough

String cheese

Deli meats

Hummus or guacamole

Instructions

  1. For the Mummy Hot Dogs:
    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Pound the Chicken: Flatten the chicken to an even thickness using a mallet or rolling pin.
    3. Bread the Chicken: Coat chicken with a flour mixture, then dip into eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
    4. Bake the Chicken: Bake the breaded chicken on the prepared tray, spraying with olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
    5. Make the Hot Honey: Heat honey, hot sauce, chili flakes, and lemon juice in a small pan over low heat until well combined.
    6. Finish and Serve: Once baked, top the chicken with feta and drizzle with the hot honey sauce. Serve with dips and enjoy!

Notes

Vegetarian Version: Use plant-based hot dogs for a vegetarian-friendly version.

Healthier Alternative: Swap crescent dough for whole wheat or use turkey dogs for fewer calories.

Spicy Kick: Add jalapeños or hot sauce to the mustard or ketchup for extra heat.
