Description

These Extra Crispy Honey Garlic Brussels Sprouts are roasted to golden perfection, coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, and garnished with sesame seeds and green onions. A must-try side dish or appetizer that will transform your perception of Brussels sprouts.

Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse and trim the Brussels sprouts, cutting them in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy when done.
  5. While the sprouts are roasting, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Once the Brussels sprouts are done, drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them and toss gently to coat evenly.
  7. Transfer the glazed Brussels sprouts to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Add Spice: Increase red pepper flakes or add sriracha for more heat.

Different Sauce: Substitute maple syrup for honey or use balsamic vinegar for a tangy twist.
