Description

Savor the rich and creamy flavors of Eggnog Pudding! Infused with traditional holiday spices, this easy-to-make dessert is perfect for festive gatherings or as a sweet seasonal treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 1/4 cups eggnog
  • 3 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients:

    • In a medium-sized pot, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Add Eggnog and Egg Yolks:

    • Gradually whisk in eggnog and egg yolks until smooth.
  3. Cook the Pudding:

    • Place the pot over medium heat, whisking constantly until the pudding thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 5-8 minutes).
  4. Cool and Serve:

    • Pour the pudding into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap (pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent a skin), and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
    • Serve chilled, optionally topped with cinnamon whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes

  • Add rum extract for an authentic eggnog flavor.
  • Fold in whipped cream before serving for a lighter texture.
  • Use nutmeg or cloves instead of cinnamon for variation
