Description

These Easy Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones are crispy, golden pockets stuffed with creamy chicken Alfredo, melty mozzarella, and Italian spices. Made in the air fryer for quick, mess-free cooking, they’re perfect for busy weeknights, pizza night, or freezer-friendly meal prep!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

All-purpose flour

Salt

Sugar

Instant yeast

Warm water

Olive oil

For the Filling:

Cooked shredded chicken

Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Garlic powder

Italian seasoning

Optional Toppings:

Beaten egg (for egg wash)

Grated Parmesan cheese

Extra Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Make the Dough: In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil. Stir and knead until smooth. Let rise for 30 minutes.

  • Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, combine shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

  • Shape Calzones: Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each into a 6-inch circle. Spoon filling onto one half of the circle, leaving a border around the edge. Fold dough over and seal edges with fingers or a fork.

  • Air Fry: Brush calzones with egg wash, sprinkle with Parmesan and extra seasoning. Place in air fryer at 375°F (190°C) and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

  • Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with extra Alfredo or marinara on the side, if desired.

Notes

Store-bought pizza dough is a great shortcut if you’re short on time.

Don’t overfill calzones to prevent leaking—seal edges well.

Rotisserie chicken adds flavor and saves time.

Great for freezing—air fry from frozen with a few extra minutes added.
