Ingredients
1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough or Crescent Roll Dough
1/2 cup Pizza Sauce (plus extra for dipping)
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup Chopped Beef or Turkey Pepperoni
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 tbsp Olive Oil or Melted Butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat Waffle Iron: Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or oil and preheat to medium-high heat.
- Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough and cut into even rectangles that fit the size of your waffle iron sections.
- Assemble: On half of the dough pieces, spread a spoonful of pizza sauce in the center. Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Cover with another piece of dough and press the edges firmly to seal. Crimp with a fork if needed.
- Cook: Place the stuffed dough pockets in the preheated waffle iron. Close and cook for 3–5 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
- Finish: Carefully remove the waffles and brush with olive oil or melted butter. Let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve: Enjoy warm with extra pizza sauce or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
Use biscuit or crescent dough for a fluffier, softer texture.
Add veggies like mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for a vegetarian option.
Mix cheeses (like provolone or cheddar) for more flavor depth.
To make spicy, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the pizza sauce.
These freeze and reheat beautifully — perfect for meal prep snacks.
