Description

Deep Fried Marshmallows are a fun and indulgent treat, with a crispy, golden coating and a gooey, melt-in-your-mouth marshmallow center. A perfect sweet snack for any occasion, these marshmallows are easy to make and absolutely delicious.


Ingredients

1 bag large marshmallows (about 10 oz)

Vegetable oil for frying

1 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)

1 cup milk (for coating)

1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for coating)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Chocolate syrup for drizzling (optional)


Instructions

  1. Insert a lollipop stick or skewer into each marshmallow to make frying easier and provide a handheld treat.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: flour in the first, milk in the second, and panko breadcrumbs in the third.
  3. Dip each marshmallow into the flour, shake off excess, dip into milk, then roll in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully place the coated marshmallows in the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate syrup for added sweetness and flavor.
  7. Serve immediately while crispy and enjoy!

Notes

For a spiced version, add cayenne pepper or cinnamon to the panko breadcrumbs.

Use mini marshmallows for bite-sized fried treats, adjusting frying time to 30-60 seconds.

For a healthier option, bake the marshmallows at a high temperature until golden brown.
