Description

A rich, silky dark chocolate fudge infused with refreshing peppermint and topped with crushed peppermint candies for the perfect festive treat.

Ingredients

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 tsp pure peppermint extract

1 pinch salt

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (or more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, peppermint extract, and salt in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Heat on medium-high for 5–6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Pour the mixture into an 8×8-inch silicone baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the top and lightly press them in with the back of a spoon.
  5. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until fully set.

Notes

Overheating can make the fudge grainy—stir frequently.

White chocolate can be used for a sweeter variation.

Add mini marshmallows for a peppermint rocky road twist.

Freeze for up to 3 months for long-term storage.

Refrigeration gives the best texture and firmness.
