Description

These Crispy Cottage Cheese Chips are a protein-packed, low-carb snack perfect for any time of the day. With a crunchy texture and cheesy flavor, they are a healthier alternative to traditional chips. Easy to make and customizable with different seasonings, they pair perfectly with your favorite dips or can be enjoyed on their own!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (preferably low-fat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano or Italian seasoning)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Shape the Chips: Drop small spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly for even cooking.
  • Bake Until Crispy: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Watch closely towards the end to prevent burning.
  • Cool & Serve: Let the chips cool on a wire rack to maintain crispiness. Enjoy immediately or store for later.

Notes

  • For Extra Crispiness: Drain excess moisture from the cottage cheese before mixing.
  • Flavor Variations: Add cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, or swap Parmesan for cheddar or mozzarella.
  • Air Fryer Method: Cook at 370°F (185°C) for 8-10 minutes, checking frequently.
