Description

Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls are a festive, flavorful twist on traditional stuffing, combining savory turkey with tart cranberries and aromatic herbs. Perfect for appetizers or side dishes, they’re baked to perfection for a comforting, bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup fresh cranberries

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 stalk celery, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried sage

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

2 large eggs

½ cup chicken broth

Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, cranberries, and any additional seasonings you prefer.
  3. Mix in the ground turkey thoroughly with the stuffing mixture.
  4. Take a handful of the mixture and roll it into balls, approximately 1 to 1½ inches in diameter.
  5. Place the formed stuffing balls onto a greased baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.
  6. Bake the stuffing balls for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and heated through.
  7. Remove the stuffing balls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like rosemary or parsley.

Incorporate finely chopped vegetables like carrots or mushrooms for added texture and nutrition.

For a cheesy twist, mix in grated Parmesan or cheddar.

Drizzle maple syrup over the balls for a touch of sweetness before baking.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
