Ingredients
3 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 (6.5-ounce) can chopped clams, drained
1/3 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon green onion, chopped (including some green parts)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of paprika for each bread round
18 sliced rounds of French baguette
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, clams, Swiss cheese, green onions, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together until well incorporated.
- Spread the mixture evenly over each slice of baguette.
- Sprinkle a dash of paprika on top of each bread round for extra flavor and color.
- Place the prepared baguette slices under the broiler and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
Cheese Swap: Instead of Swiss cheese, you can use mozzarella, cheddar, or even Parmesan for a different twist.
Add Herbs: Fresh parsley or thyme would make a great addition for a fresh herb flavor.
Spicy Version: Add a few dashes of hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick to your clam bruschetta.
Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free baguette slices to make this dish suitable for those with gluten sensitivities.
