- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip, thawed)
For the Chocolate Ganache:
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup heavy cream
Optional Toppings:
- Whipped cream
- Crushed peanuts
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Crust
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Use the back of a spoon or measuring cup to smooth and compact the crust.
- Chill the crust in the refrigerator for at least 15–20 minutes to set.
2️⃣ Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3️⃣ Assemble the Pie
- Spread the peanut butter filling evenly over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator while you prepare the chocolate ganache.
4️⃣ Make the Chocolate Ganache
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream.
- Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy. (Alternatively, heat in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.)
- Let the ganache cool slightly, then drizzle it over the peanut butter filling.
- Use a knife or toothpick to create a marbled swirl effect.
5️⃣ Chill & Serve
- Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm. (For best results, chill overnight to allow flavors to meld.)
- Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, crushed peanuts, or chocolate shavings, if desired.
- Slice and enjoy the creamy, dreamy goodness!
