Description

Chocolate Mascarpone Brownies are a rich and indulgent twist on the classic brownie, combining semisweet chocolate, creamy mascarpone cheese, and a silky ganache topping. Ingredients

For the Brownies:

Unsalted butter

Semisweet chocolate, chopped

Granulated sugar

Unsweetened cocoa powder

8 oz mascarpone cheese (room temperature)

Eggs (room temperature)

Vanilla extract

All-purpose flour

Salt

For the Ganache Frosting:

Semisweet chocolate, chopped

Whipping cream

Unsalted butter, cut into pieces


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    Preheat to 325°F (163°C). Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Melt Chocolate & Butter:
    Place chopped chocolate in a bowl. Melt butter and pour it over the chocolate. Let sit 30 seconds, then stir until smooth.

  • Mix Ingredients:
    Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder. Add mascarpone, eggs, and vanilla; stir until smooth.

  • Finish the Batter:
    Fold in flour and salt until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake:
    Bake for 50 minutes or until the center is just set. Cool completely before frosting.

  • Prepare Ganache:
    Heat cream in a saucepan until hot (not boiling). Remove from heat, add chocolate and butter, let sit for 1 minute, then stir until glossy and smooth.

  • Frost Brownies:
    Pour ganache over cooled brownies, spreading evenly. Let set before slicing.


Notes

For added texture, stir in chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.

Use dark chocolate for a bolder flavor.

Add a touch of espresso powder for enhanced chocolate richness.
