Description
Chicken Philly Sliders are a savory twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, with shredded rotisserie chicken, sautéed peppers and onions, Provolone cheese, and buttery brioche rolls—perfect for parties or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
½ tablespoon olive oil
1 cup diced green bell pepper
1 cup diced yellow onion
2 ½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
½ cup water
0.87 oz chicken gravy mix
12 brioche dinner rolls
8 slices Provolone cheese
1 tablespoon butter, melted
½ tablespoon Montreal steak spice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced peppers and onions. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened.
- Add shredded chicken to the skillet, pour in water and chicken gravy mix, and stir until well combined. Simmer for a few minutes on low heat.
- Slice the brioche rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
- Spoon chicken mixture over the bottom rolls, then top with Provolone cheese slices. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
- Brush melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with Montreal steak spice.
- Cover with foil and bake for 17–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, pull apart carefully, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra spice, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
Try mozzarella or cheddar instead of Provolone for a different flavor.
Add mushrooms for a heartier filling.
For a low-carb version, substitute buns with lettuce wraps.
