Description

Chicken Gloria is a creamy, cheesy baked chicken dish layered with tender mushrooms and topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. This comforting, flavorful entrée is perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic and mushrooms until tender.
  4. Place chicken breasts in the baking dish and pour heavy cream evenly over them.
  5. Top each chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Add fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the mushroom sauté for extra flavor and color.

Use low-fat cream or half-and-half for a lighter version.

Sprinkle with red pepper flakes for a mild kick.

Substitute mozzarella with Gruyère or Fontina for a different cheese profile.
