Description

Cheesy Garlic Butter Roll-Ups are a delicious snack or appetizer made from flaky puff pastry, gooey mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, and a flavorful garlic butter coating. Baked to golden perfection, they make a savory and irresistible treat that’s perfect for any occasion, from casual snacking to entertaining guests.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Set aside.
  3. Roll Out the Puff Pastry:
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle, approximately 12×10 inches.
  4. Brush with Garlic Butter:
Brush the garlic butter evenly over the entire surface of the pastry, making sure to coat it well.
  5. Add the Cheese and Seasonings:
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered pastry. Sprinkle dried oregano, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper over the cheese.
  6. Roll and Slice:
Starting from the long side, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Slice the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them cut-side down on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each roll-up.
  7. Bake the Roll-Ups:
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the roll-ups are golden brown and puffed.
  8. Cool Slightly and Serve:
Remove the roll-ups from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different herbs, like thyme or rosemary, to suit your taste.

Serve these roll-ups with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or spicy aioli for extra flavor.

If you prefer a different cheese, try cheddar, gouda, or a cheese blend for a variation.
