Description

Cheeseburger Pie is a comforting, family-friendly dinner that captures all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in a simple, one-pan bake. With savory ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and a fluffy Bisquick crust, this quick and easy meal is perfect for busy weeknights. It’s a budget-friendly, crowd-pleasing recipe that’s sure to become a staple in your dinner rotation!

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup milk

½ cup Bisquick mix

2 eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain any excess grease.

  • Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie plate.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, Bisquick mix, and eggs until smooth. Pour the mixture over the beef and cheese.

  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Vegetarian: Swap ground beef with a plant-based meat substitute.

Cheese Swaps: Use Monterey Jack, Swiss, or Pepper Jack for a flavor twist.

Gluten-Free: Use a gluten-free baking mix in place of Bisquick.
