Description

A fun and visually stunning appetizer, Caprese Ladybug Appetizers bring a creative twist to the classic Caprese salad. With fresh mozzarella, basil, and cherry tomatoes transformed into adorable ladybugs, this no-cook recipe is perfect for parties, picnics, and special gatherings


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese log
  • 7 cherry tomatoes
  • Black olives
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Black food-safe color gel (optional, for spots)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Arrange mozzarella slices on a serving platter.
  • Add Basil Leaves: Place a fresh basil leaf on each cheese slice.
  • Create the Ladybug Body: Halve cherry tomatoes, cutting a small slit into each half to form wings. Place on top of the basil leaves.
  • Form the Head: Slice a black olive, cutting a small piece to create the ladybug’s head. Attach to the tomato.
  • Add Spots: Dot black food-safe gel onto the tomato to mimic ladybug spots.
  • Serve: Present immediately and enjoy!
