Description

Burger Bowls offer a healthier twist on the classic burger, served in a bowl without the bun. Packed with juicy beef (or turkey), fresh veggies, creamy avocado, and a flavorful dressing, these bowls provide all the delicious flavors of a burger in a satisfying and customizable meal.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 cups mixed salad greens (romaine, arugula, spinach)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup cucumber, diced

1/2 cup pickles, sliced

1 avocado, sliced

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, then shape into 4 patties.
  2. Cook the Patties: Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
  3. Make the Dressing: While the patties are resting, prepare the dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Prepare the Bowls: In 4 bowls, layer the mixed salad greens as the base.
  5. Assemble the Bowls: Slice the burger patties and place them on top of the salad greens in each bowl. Add the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, avocado slices, and shredded cheese.
  6. Dress and Serve: Drizzle the prepared dressing over each bowl and sprinkle with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
  7. Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Burger Bowls!

Notes

Feel free to mix up the cheese, using anything from feta to mozzarella or a sharp blue cheese for extra flavor.

Customize with more veggies like red onion, bell peppers, or roasted zucchini for added variety.

For a low-carb version, skip the cheese or use a dairy-free alternative.
