Description

A fragrant and delicate rose simple syrup made by simmering dried rose petals with sugar and water, perfect for adding a subtle floral touch to drinks and desserts.


Ingredients

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

2/3 cup dried rose petals


Instructions

  1. Add sugar, water, and rose petals to a small pot.
  2. Heat on medium until simmering, then reduce to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain out the rose petals.
  4. Simmer the syrup for an additional 10 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Let cool completely before using.
  6. Use in drinks, desserts, or as a delicate drizzle.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.

Infuse with a splash of lemon juice for brightness.

Add a few cardamom pods during simmering for a warm, spicy note.

Use fresh rose petals if available, but ensure they are pesticide-free.
