Description

Bang Bang Salmon Bites are crispy, tender salmon pieces coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy bang bang sauce. With customizable spice levels and simple cooking methods, these bites are perfect for a quick appetizer, snack, or main course.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon:
    • Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes. Toss with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the Salmon:
    • Pan-Sear: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
    • Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes on a lined sheet pan.
    • Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Make the Sauce:
    • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.
  • Combine and Serve:
    • Toss the cooked salmon with the sauce or drizzle over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust Spice Level: Control the heat by adding more or less sriracha and cayenne pepper.
  • Different Sauce: Try teriyaki sauce for a different flavor twist.
  • Toppings: Garnish with fresh herbs, sesame seeds, or chopped scallions for extra flavor.
