With flaky, buttery crescent roll dough filled with a creamy mixture of shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions, this dish is quick, easy, and perfect for any occasion. Ready in 30 minutes, these rolls are a family favorite and ideal for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

For the Chicken Filling:

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Crescent Rolls:

2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.

  • Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  • Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the cans of crescent rolls and separate the dough into triangles.

  • Stuff the Rolls: Place a heaping tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.

  • Roll & Bake: Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Variations:

  • Spicy Kick: Add diced jalapeños or chili flakes to the filling.

  • Cheese Options: Swap out cheddar cheese for mozzarella, pepper jack, or even cream cheese for a different twist.

  • Herbs: Use fresh herbs like parsley or dill to enhance the flavor.

  • Dipping Sauce: Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for an added dip option.

Storage/Reheating:

  • To Store: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • To Reheat: Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, or until warm.
