Description

Frozen Apple Cider Slushies are the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of fall in a cool, refreshing drink. Packed with the sweet and spiced taste of apple cider, this slushie is quick to make and perfect for entertaining. Whether you’re hosting a fall gathering or just craving a seasonal treat, this slush is sure to hit the spot.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups frozen apple cider cubes

1 cup ice cubes

½ cup cold apple cider

¼ cup brown sugar

½ teaspoon cinnamon

Apple slices (optional, for garnish)

Mini donuts (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place a gallon-sized resealable bag into a large measuring cup and fold the edges over the rim. Pour the apple cider into the bag, remove as much air as possible, and seal the bag tightly. Lay flat in the freezer and freeze for 3-4 hours or overnight until solid.
  2. Once frozen, remove the bag from the freezer and run under warm water until the cider breaks into chunks.
  3. In a blender, add frozen apple cider chunks, ice cubes, cold apple cider, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Blend until smooth and fully incorporated.
  4. Pour into glasses and garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, or mini donuts as desired.

Notes

If you’d like a sweeter slush, add more brown sugar to taste, or try a flavored syrup like caramel for extra richness.

To make the slush even smoother, try using an ice cream maker by churning apple cider, brown sugar, and cinnamon for 10 minutes.

For a different twist, try adding spices like nutmeg, cloves, or a splash of vanilla extract.

Feel free to experiment with other fruit juices like cranberry, pear, or orange for a unique flavor.

Use fresh apple cider if you prefer, but frozen cider gives a better slushy texture.
