Description
Crispy, golden, and full of cheesy flavor, this Air Fryer Tortellini recipe transforms simple store-bought pasta into a crunchy, irresistible snack or appetizer — perfect with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Ingredients
1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup marinara sauce, warmed (for serving)
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. In a small bowl, combine Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the tortellini in boiling water for 2–4 minutes or until they float. Drain well without rinsing.
- While still warm, toss tortellini in olive oil to coat. Sprinkle with the Parmesan and seasoning mixture and toss again until evenly coated.
- Arrange the tortellini in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Add smoked paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.
Serve with ranch, Alfredo, or pesto for dipping instead of marinara.
Use mushroom or spinach tortellini for variation.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes.
Bake alternative: 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
Make it vegan with plant-based tortellini and vegan Parmesan.
