Description

Air Fryer Stuffed Pickles are a delicious snack featuring a tangy dill pickle base, creamy cheese filling, and a crispy breadcrumb topping, all cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

6 large dill pickles, halved lengthwise and scooped out

4 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon chopped chives or green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt & pepper to taste

1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or panko

1 tablespoon melted butter

Fresh dill or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the pickles in half lengthwise and scoop out the centers to form boats. Pat the hollowed pickles dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped chives (or green onions), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
  3. Spoon or pipe the cream cheese filling into each pickle half, packing it in generously.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter until evenly coated.
  5. Sprinkle the buttery breadcrumbs over the stuffed pickles.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Place the stuffed pickles in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy on top.
  7. Garnish with fresh dill or parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

You can use other pickle varieties like bread and butter or spicy pickles for a flavor twist.

For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon, jalapeños, or a drizzle of hot sauce before air frying.

If you don’t have an air fryer, bake the stuffed pickles at 375°F for 12-15 minutes or until crispy.

Patting the hollowed pickles dry with paper towels helps prevent sogginess.

To freeze, place the stuffed pickles on a baking sheet, freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Air fry straight from frozen, adding extra minutes to the cook time.
