Description

This Air Fryer Pizookie is a warm, gooey cookie baked in a skillet-style pan with crisp edges, a soft center, and the perfect base for a scoop of ice cream. It’s quick, easy, and endlessly customizable with different mix-ins and toppings.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or red, white, and blue baking chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 340°F and spray a 6-inch round cake pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips or baking chips.
  5. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Air fry at 340°F for 13 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 310°F and cook for an additional 6 minutes, until the center is set but still soft.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with ice cream or desired toppings.

Notes

Customize with different mix-ins such as white chocolate, dark chocolate, M&Ms, or chopped candy bars.

Swap part of the flour with cocoa powder for a double chocolate version.

Parchment paper makes cleanup easier but isn’t required.

Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Reheat slices in the air fryer at 300°F or microwave for 20 seconds.
