Description
Crispy, flavorful chicken wings seasoned with Old Bay and air-fried to golden perfection. These wings are juicy inside, crunchy outside, and make a quick, easy, and lighter alternative to deep-fried wings—perfect for game day or casual meals.
Ingredients
2 pounds cut chicken wings
2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon neutral oil (such as canola or avocado)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF (200ºC).
- Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure extra crispiness.
- In a large bowl, combine the wings with Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and baking powder.
- Drizzle in the neutral oil and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Air fry the wings for 15 minutes, flip them over, and continue cooking for another 13–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165ºF (74ºC).
- Transfer the wings to a serving platter, sprinkle with minced parsley, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
Toss cooked wings in melted butter with more Old Bay for a saucier version.
For a smoky touch, include a bit of smoked paprika in the seasoning mix.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375ºF for 5–7 minutes for best crispiness.
Cook in batches if doubling the recipe to prevent overcrowding.
