Ingredients
2 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1½-inch by 1-inch pieces
2 tbsp oil
1½ tsp ground black pepper
1½ tsp salt
1½ tsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Cut the sirloin steak into 1½-inch by 1-inch pieces.
- Make the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the oil, black pepper, salt, and soy sauce.
- Marinate the steak: Add the steak pieces to the bowl with the marinade and toss until the steak is well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Cook the steak bites: Place the marinated steak pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook at 400°F for 7-12 minutes, depending on your desired doneness:
- 7 minutes = more rare
- 12 minutes = medium-well
- Serve: Once cooked, remove the steak bites from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables.
Notes
Onions and mushrooms: Add sliced onions and mushrooms to the marinade. Toss them in with the steak before cooking in the air fryer.
Garlic and butter: After cooking, toss the steak bites with melted butter and minced garlic for an extra flavor boost.
Cheese: Top the cooked steak bites with blue cheese crumbles for a tangy twist, or sprinkle with shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese before serving.
Spicy: Add chili flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the marinade for a little heat.
