Description

Quick and easy Air Fryer Frozen Cod Filets cooked straight from frozen for a tender, flaky, and protein-packed dinner with minimal prep.

Ingredients

2 large frozen cod filets

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the frozen cod filets in the basket in a single layer without thawing.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the filets.
  4. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) in the thickest part of the filet.
  6. Carefully remove from the basket and serve immediately.

Notes

No need to thaw the cod before cooking.

Avoid overcrowding the basket to prevent excess moisture and ensure even cooking.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat in the air fryer at a lower temperature to prevent drying out.

Optional seasonings include garlic powder, paprika, lemon pepper, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
